NBA best Brawls

Basketball is a physical game and sometimes (or always) we tend to lose our cool and often leads to fight or as we say it brawls.

So NBA best brawls for this decade.

5#

This was totally uncalled for but some reason they just made it big.

#4

Shooting a 3 in my face when we're losing by double digits when you can just hold the ball? that's the reason folks.

#3

SHAQ just pushed everybody.

#2

could have been number one but with no fans in action so i give it number two.

#1

Now this is a brawl if all the fans joined the fight goodbye NBA!

NBA2K11 VS NBA ELITE

For years i have been a NBA live fan but just last year i switched to NBA 2k and i really like it's graphics and game play so for this year's basketball video game let's see what is the top video game today.

NBA2K11

As you can see in the picture NBA2K11 has added Michael Jordan as their cover player, the game allows you play MJ and has a challenge mode in which you have to do MJ career accomplishments (pretty neat eh?)not only that you can also play the top teams that MJ face during his time so you can play the "SHOWTIME" Lakers, "Bad Boys" Detroit Pistons and the "Legendary" Boston Celtics and etc.
2k also added a new dribbling scheme in which you can pull up moves much more comfortable and in more control of it.I really hope that 2K fixed their bug and ONLINE problems really like playing online but the news is that they have fixed it!so good luck with that one.Ok i won't tell all the new stuffs 2k has done only the major ones. What i really like about 2K is they don't announce all the new stuffs you have to find it out on your own or master it in which it means you have to play it to see it and that's what i'm gonna do.
So for this year 2K i really think it is an upgrade over last year and i like last year 2K10, So watch this trailer of 2K11 and hit me back.

NBA ELITE 11

NBA LIVE as we know it is dead at least the name only, LIVE has been replaced now it is called NBA ELITE in hope of changing their luck against 2K.
What's new? they now generated a shoot based on your skill which you now have control
of your shot so if it's in it's on you when it missed it's on you too(cool uh?)but the only problem is how do you do that?you have image popping up in the game?if so that will be a problem coz i think that will be irritating.NBA ELITE also offers new things every time you play like it is based on a player's DNA you tend to do some things in the court right? so if NBA ELITE can IMPROVE it's graphics, it;s sloppy animations(which they said they have changed no more stuck on one one animation) and improve it's appearance it will give 2K a run for their money.

VERDICT: I will go with 2K11 why?because it has been tried and tested while NBA ELITE has changed completely don't get me wrong though i'll be trying both and if NBA ELITE can deliver i'll be going with them. thanks!

Street basketball

Thought of putting highlights of amazing street ball players.

Here you go.

HOT SAUCE

MR.720

Lil wizard

more to come soon!

Will Shaq fit with the Boston Celtics?

I read that Shaq and the Celtics are close to agreeing to a deal that will give the legendary center another chance to compete at a championship, although he might to come off the bench for the first time in his career.

Here are the reasons why i think Shaq fits well with his new team.

AGE

Shaq is 38 and the Boston Celtics are really good in pushing their players to play to their potential.
Although Shaq is the oldest player in the team he is surrounded by 3 "wise" stars that will help him cherish to their system.

GLORY AND TRADITION

Shaq wants to win his fifth ring and he has a great opportunity with the Celtics.
Also the Celtics are rich in tradition in which i think will only inspire Shaq to do better.
And he wants to duel with his old teammate Kobe Bryant (5 rings)

LEGACY
Shaq is not getting any younger so he is using his remaining years to win a championship, he is not competing for stats he wants to retire a champion.

Will Shaq retire?

As of this writing Shaq has no team the only teams that are interested are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Los Angels Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs.
Though there are rumors that the Miami Heat are interested too but i doubt that they can afford him.

Top Jordan shoes for me

Just for fun my fave Jordan shoes used to collect them.
Now i only have like 3 left, gave the others away.

Nike Air Jordan I

Wish i had one.

Nike Air Jordan III

Had one of these but with a different color.

Nike Air Jordan XX

I have one of these at home i remember when i bought it at Eastwood it was reserved for a guy named Lee they told me that he was a UAAP player (i didn't know coz i dont watch UAAP at that time)but i was desperate to but it coz i was inspired by the Jordan commercial and the other malls don't have my size (11 and a half or size 12) so i told him "baka pwede naman gawaan nang paraan" and the guy was kind enough to agree with my plea. To make a long story short Jordan XX is my favorite basketball shoes i only wear it for CHAMPIONSHIP games!

Who's the most clutch player today?

3 seconds left, game on the line. Who's gonna take the last shot?

Here are my picks.

Chauncey Billups

A finals mvp and a true leader.

Game on the line "Mr.big shot" will spot it up whether its from downtown or driving the lane, and most of the time he delivered.

Clutch factor: 7 out of 10.

Carmelo Anthony

A cold blooded shooter in the clutch.
Has no problem hitting unbelievable, hard and tough shots in the clutch.

Clutch factor: 9 out of 10

Dwyane Wade

Makes clutch plays in every possible way you imagine it.
He makes the right decision and also has the knack of making legendary shots when the game is on the line,he also does his part at the defensive end.
Clutch factor: 10 out of 10

Dirk Nowitzki

The best shooting bigmen in history.
Has a knack for winning games for his team especially when his team is down.

Clutch factor: 10 out of 10

and my top pick is a no brainer...
Kobe Bryant A.K.A The Black Mamba

Top 5 What if's in NBA history

What if this things never happen?

Top 5
What if Jordan was drafted the top pick by the Houston Rockets?

The greatest player in the game would have been a Rocket's player have they selected him instead they chose Hakeem Olajuwon because they wanted a bigmen, although Hakeem became a two-time champ passing up the GOAT is a mistake in my book.

Top 4

What if Kobe was never traded?

In 1996,#13 pick Kobe was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Vlade Divac.
This would be a mistake, As of this writing Kobe has 5 rings,1Mvp,Countless more achievements and is in the argument of who is the greatest player on the game with Jordan.

Top 3

What if Jordan never retired in 1993?

The debate goes on and on, many say that if Jordan didn't retired early they would have won 8 straight championships or maybe even more.
I wonder if Mj and the Bulls did win 8 straight or more will their ever be a debate with him and Kobe?

Top 2

What if Lebron James never left?

I know this is premature but i keep thinking what if James never left could have they won it all?
I mean with the new coach and last straw for James surely Cleveland would have done something.

Top 1

What if Jordan never made the "SHOT"?

This is where Michael Jordan really became a legend, If he missed the shot who knows maybe he would asked to be traded.
Nobody will ever know.

A new trend in the NBA?

Did the Miami Heat just started a new trend?

Days after the Miami Heat had formed their version of the BIG 3 many are now considering doing their own version.

Here are the possible BIG 3 of the future.

CHRIS PAUL,CARMELO ANTHONY AND AMARE STOUDAMIRE

Considering that Chris Paul wants to go to New York and Carmelo hasn't signed his extension there is huge possibility that this could happen, also considering that New York still has enough money.

Threat to MIAMI'S SUPERFRIENDS? YES!

DWIGHT HOWARD,CHRIS PAUL AND DIRK NOWITZKI

Now the Orlando Magic is the second choice of Chris Paul and if Dirk wants to win a championship he knows that joining Orlando will fulfill his dreams, dunno if Mark Cuban will allow it though (he is the owner of the Dallas Mavericks)

Threat to MIAMI'S SUPERFRIENDS? YES!!

Also you have to practice your off hand to execute this maneuver.

Who will be the future star of the NBA?

In 5 years time who will be the top superstar?

Here are my top guesses.

Kevin Durant
Has the size, the talent and the team to win multiple tiles thus establishing himself a bonafide star.
Has unlimited shooting range, unlimited potential and the guts to hit crucial shots.

Needs to bulk up to avoid injuries.

Derrick Rose

Possess blinding fast speed, off the charts athleticism and uncanny moves to the rim.
Also possess a great team that can help him win titles.

Needs to practice on his shot and range.

Stephen Curry

This might be premature but i see great potential with this star.
Possess unbelievable shooting range and touch, dribble with ease, makes unbelievable plays and passes.

Needs to work on his D,Bulk up and rebound more.

Tyreke Evans

If he could improve on his rookie campaign, he'll be a first ballot hall of famer.
Can drive to basket with ease, has NBA ready bod, Can make big plays down the stretch.

Needs to work in his D and jumpshot.

Sunday, July 4, 2010

Is John Wall the top rookie?

Let the debate begin!

John Wall

Wall is off-the-charts athletically, able to beat defenses off the dribble and finish well above the rim. He has excellent court vision and a guy who takes and hits bigshots.

NBA COMPARISON: Derrick Rose

Evan Turner

Possesses the ability to get to the rim or pull up for a mid-range jumper, skills that will serve him well at the next level.
His long-range shooting could and probably will improve in time.

NBA comparison: Brandon Roy

Derrick Favors

Posses a decent mid-range game and is able to hit jumpers out to about twelve feet, but low-post play is clearly his bread-and-butter.

NBA comparison: David West or Chris Bosh
Wesley Johnson

Posses a smooth jumper and the ability to slash to the lane more or less at will, Johnson projects as a prototype small forward at the next level.
If his outside shot continues to improve, he'll be a near-impossible assignment for defenders.

NBA comparison: Paul Pierce

From my point of view in 5 years time, John Wall is and will be the biggest star of them all -- naming him the top rookie in this year class.

Top ten NBA teams of today

LOS ANGELES LAKERS

The BACK TO BACK CHAMPS! Personally i don't like this team, but i have to give credit coz they have won it all for two straight years against two great teams.
This has the potential to start a dynasty coz as i see it there is no team even close to it talent, and they haven't reach their potential yet(if Bynum is healthy the whole playoffs would be easier)

PLAYERS:
Kobe Bryant A.K.A the Black Mamba the second best player in the NBA today and the best player this past decade.

Derek Fisher this guy is the deadliest player today in clutch situations.(yeah, even better than Bryant)

Pau Gasol the most skilled bigmen in the world, the perfect sidekick to Kobe.Enough said.

Ron Artest the hard nosed type of player that relieved Kobe to tough defensive assignments, can make game winning plays.

Lamar Odom has the length and talent to help teams, can hit 15 to 18 footers, even shoot the three from time to time.

Andrew Bynum his presence alone can alter your shot, if this guy is healthy and realized his potential the LAKERS are THE TEAM TO BEAT for the next decade.

Also give credit to the play of Sasha Vujajic, Jordan Farmar and Shannon Brown who gives second life to the Lakers.

BOSTON CELTICS
The runner up to this finals that went to a classic game 7.
Showed us that teamwork wins games, even though they were affected by injuries, age and fatigue they showed great composure as underdogs that almost won it all.

Players:

Kevin Garnett although his skill have diminished and his getting slower as he age the passion is still there, rarely you see a player play with such passion and intensity.

Paul Pierce can create shot for himself which the Celtics badly needed, also the ability to draw fouls is a plus in the playoffs, also has the knack to hit big shots.
Ray Allen the purest shooter today and one of the if not the best shooter today and in history.

Rajan Rondo future star with blazing speed and agility, has the ability to grab long rebounds and snatch steals.

Has a knack to make big plays down the stretch, although his poor free throw shooting hurts.

Glen Davis the energy player of the Celtics, has the ability to create shots inside the paint, has enough strength to bully his way to the rim, although he needs to trim down to gin some some leaping ability!

Kendrick Perkins the player that RARELY smiles a lock down defender and good shot blocker.

For me Nate Robinson,Tony Allen and Rasheed Wallace also deserves notice for their contributions.

If the Celtics can get a scorer who can create shot for himself(ala Wade or James) they have a great chance to beat the Lakers.

2010 top free agents not named LeBron James

Dwyane Wade
One of the most prolific scorers today. He has unbelievable speed and agility to go along with amazing moves to the hoop and insane leaping ability. He is regarded as the next Michael Jordan based on their talent and statistics, Wade also delivers at clutch moments a one time champion with a mentality of being the best and a motto of "fall seven times stand up eight times". This man is a future hall of famer and a living legend any team who could sign him would be a contender instantly, He's that good.
Still need to work on his jumper though.
LIKELY TO SIGN WITH: MIAMI HEAT, CHICAGO AND NEW YORK.

Chris Bosh
A talented forward with a nice jumper can get inside the paint and can bang with the best bigmen in the game and is a double digit rebounder.
Also he commands double teams which can create shots for other, he has the ability to knock down 18 footers with ease.
I really think he will be better of as sidekick to another star (Wade or James).
Needs to have more strength and learn how to draw more fouls.
LIKELY TO SIGN WITH: NEW YORK KNICKS, CHICAGO BULLS, MIAMI HEAT.
Dirk Nowitzki
The greatest European player ever.
Probably the best big shooting man in NBA history.
He can drive to the hoop like a guard amazing for a guy his size,(his listed 7'0 feet tall)can shoot three's,possess the deadly fade away jumper and has the knack of hitting big shots.
Can't get younger and is getting slower.
I personally think that he will not leave Dallas, he just opted out to have a new and longer deal.
LIKELY TO SIGN WITH: DALLAS MAVERICKS.
Paul Pierce
One of the best to ever wear a Celtics uniform.
Has the ability to draw fouls and makes them.
Possess a lethal stepback jumper which is a thing of beauty when perfectly executed.
Has the killer instinct to hit the big shots.
Also known as the " TRUTH", you can't handle the truth!
But sometimes tends to force the issue too much that leads to turnovers or ill-adviced shots.
Like Dirk,Pierce opted out to have a new contract to secure his future.
LIKELY TO SIGN WITH: BOSTON CELTICS.
Amare Stoudamire
A talented forward who has benefited in the pick and roll type of play.
Has the ability to finish strong with ferocious dunks that are almost unblockable.
He can also hit 15 to 18 footers regularly.
Although he is an average rebounder for his size and mediocre defender at best but the biggest knack on him is his an injury prone player but he showed he can rebound to those type of injury(but teams are still worried)
LIKELY TO SIGN WITH:NEW YORK KNICKS AND MIAMI HEAT

And that's it, for me this are the only players who are worth to be considered "Star" players.
If you have a player worth debating for i'm up for it! thanks!

Where Will LEBRON go??

The deepest free agent class in history including Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and Lebron James.

The Million dollar question is where will Lebron go? Let's review all the possible destination for Lebron.

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS

Why? This is where it all began. He was selected by this club 1st overall pick back at 2003 and let's just say the rest is history.
REASONS WHY HE WOULD STAY:Could Lebron just walk away from this team? I mean they rebuild the roster for him, named streets for him, made a song for him and even held "LEBRON APPRECIATION DAY".
But Lebron has decided that he will test the free agent market ,so Cavs fans just hope that the KING will stay.

REASONS WHY HE SHOULD GO: The Cavs got the "Inconsistent" Mo Williams he is a good regular season player but an average post season player. Players should step up in the playoffs not the other way around. And he can't play D.
Shaquille O'neil his old, inconsistent and he can barely jump! Also an injury-prone player.
Antawn Jamison ever since he came to Cleveland he struggled and on the Boston series he was awful, Kevin Garnett just had his way with him.
The only promising player the Cavs have is J.J Hickson and he is not playing. Oh wait making a case for Anderson Varejao? Hmm he is the ultimate flopper and also has no offence,Enough said.
The Cavs also has NO coach as of this time.
POSSIBILITY: Likely
WHAT WILL THE TEAM NEED TO DO?
Get young, Trade for younger players who can keep up with Lebron and can play D.
Have a REAL coach.
The Cavs have to make changes quick, its their star to lose.

CHICAGO BULLS
why? The Bulls are dedicated to winning and they might have the best pieces to offer Lebron.

REASONS TO GO HERE: The Bulls already has a all-star in Derrick Rose and a Productive bigmen in Joakim Noah.
They also have Luol Deng a player who has size to defend the 3 and 4 spot and can score in anywhere.
They also have Taj Gibson a rebounding freak with a huge upside.
A solid bench
A new coach in Tom Thibodeau. If you don't know him he was the mastermind behind the Boston Celtics tenacious defense.
He could also play where his idol played (MICHEAL JORDAN).
The Bulls also has enough money to sign another star via free agency, I'm picking they go with Chris Bosh. Imagine Derrick Rose lobbing the ball to Lebron or dishing it out to Bosh for the sweet jay that team will be Lethal, How could you stop that?

REASONS NOT TO: NOTHING! There is no reason for Lebron not to go here, If Lebron is dedicated to win he should go here.
If the Bulls also sign Bosh or Stoudamire, Then we are witnessing a DYNASTY.
POSSIBILITY: Very likely
WHAT WILL THE TEAM NEED TO DO?
Sign Bosh or Stoudamire, Not Wade imagine Lebron or Wade playing together who will take charge? Who will take the last shot? I don't think that at this time Lebron and Wade and play with each other, Both have large egos and are ball-hogs.
If Lebron signs here it is a beginning of a dynasty.

NEW JERSEY NETS
why? They have two all-stars and a new owner.

REASONS TO GO HERE: The Nets have Devin Harris a flashy-point guard who can score in bunches.
Brook Lopez a star in the making bigmen.
Derrick Favors as the 3rd pick in the 2010 draft has real potential to be a stud.
Great coach in Avery Johnson, He handled Dirk Nowitzki so he has experience handling franchise players.
A new owner in Mikhail Prokhorov.

REASON NOT TO: The Nets were the WORST team in the NBA last year, So expect a lot of adjustments for the first part of the season.
POSSIBILITY: Likely
WHAT WILL THE TEAM NEED TO DO:
Sign Lebron.
Sign other players via free agency that could be role player or a veteran, like Ray Allen.
Adjustments will be made and expect Avery to build a great team.

NEW YORK KNICKS
why? MSG the grandest stage of them all.

REASONS TO GO HERE: They have David Lee a double-double type machine.
A former all-star in Tracy McGrady. Still think he has some game in him
A ton of players with potential like Danilo Gallinari, Tony Douglas and Wilson Chandler.
They also have enough money to get another star.
The up-tempo type pf play will suit Lebron perfectly.
It's New York, Lebron loves playing here.

REASONS NOT TO: The Knicks doesn't know how to play defense, Especially its players or better yet their coach Mike D' Antoni remember the Suns?
They have no legitimate center, Size does matter in Basketball.

POSSIBILITY: UNLIKELY
WHAT WILL THE TEAM NEED TO DO?
Trade David lee or tmac for a point guard, Like Kirk Hinrich or Darren Collison or dare i say Chris Paul.
Trade for a CENTER.
Sigh Bosh or Stoudamire.
Change their style of play, Teams that win championships are the ones who play defense that the other way around.

MIAMI HEAT

why? Its Miami with another Franchise player and a Great coach.

REASONS TO GO HERE:
Play alongside Dwayne Wade, for me i think it wont work but having two franchise players as teammates? Not bad.
Pat Riley is the coach, i'm sure Riley will not let this opportunity pass.
Great place to play with.
Can add Bosh or other big name star via free agency.

REASONS NOT TO GO HERE:
If Wade and Lebron can play with each other then there's no reason not to play here.
POSSIBILITY: LIKELY
WHAT WILL THE TEAM NEED TO DO?
Sign or trade for a point guard, who can play d and pass the ball.
Sign Lebron and Bosh, if these happen players will take a pay cut to join them.
Next to Chicago, Miami has the highest chance to grab James and eventually build a dynasty.

The FADEAWAY

Here we have our first move! The FADEAWAY JUMPER!Shown by the G.O.A.T Michael "Air" Jordan

POSITIVES* The "Fadeaway" for me that's the most unstoppable move Jordan created. He was the pioneer of doing this move to the extent of backing down your opponent, while allowing you to check your options and delivering for the kill. The move is performed by catching the ball in the post then setting your feet, back down your defender and you can choose to dribble or shoot the sweet fade-away instantly.
Now why is it unstoppable?

First of all, you cant block it without GREAT timing, even if your a tall guy the short guy has an advantage because he will keep you guessing what will he do next. Also the fade away was designed to draw fouls at the catch then avoid the long arms of the defender or height by "FADING" your shot. The longer your "hang time" is the better, Practice this move and you'll be scoring in no time.

NEGATIVES* All moves has a weakness and the fade way is no exception. In order for you to capitalize in doing this move you have to master the fundamentals. Why? Well because in order to set your feet, balance and body form you have to go over the basics to fully do this move.

Some people might argue that i'ts easy to do but give me other superstars aside from MJ,KOBE AND DIRK who does this move so perfectly. Another one is the offensive player must know how to establish his position in order to catch the ball and prevent the defensive player in stealing the ball.

And oh yeah the "hang time" you don't need to jump higher, you just need to jump at the right time in order to execute this move, For EX. Don't wait for the defensive player to react on your fakes when you have sight on the basket shoot it. Its better to be one step ahead of your opponent every time and also the fade away move was not design for holding the ball for too long because if you to do you allow your opponent to establish his stance and that may cost you.

Thanks for reading!
